For the past several months Deckchair have been filming the College of Medicine's 'First Thursday Lecture' series. This month is no different and several days ago saw the latest event take place at the prestigious venue of the Honourable Artillery Company. Like last month, there were two speakers at this lecture but unlike last month, they were talking on the same subject. Professor Mark Emberton and Dr Hashim Ahmed are part of a University College Hospital team who have been carrying out pioneering work using sound waves to target prostate cancer. Their recent research suggests targeted ultrasound treatment could reduce the risk of impotence and incontinence. Their lecture has been split into three and can be found above and below.
